Record Claim - 'Hay Plain 100'

Wednesday 16 February, the World Solarcar speed record for the fastest average speed over this measured 100 kilometres was broken by Desert Rose on the Hay Plain, between Hay and Mildura.

The Hay Plain Record was claimed in 1998, at 100.9 kph, by the current world champion, Solarcar Aurora 101, and has been toppled by four entrants, including Aurora 101, in Whirlpool SunRace 2000:

Desert Rose - 107.78 kph
Aurora 101  - 106.07 kph
SunShark    - 103.06 kph
SunSwift     - 102.83 kph

This record claim is acknowledged by the International Solarcar Federation.

A formal application will be submitted to confirm this record claim
